Mahahraja Shri. Jayachamaraja Wadiyar of Mysore, one of the greatest statesmen of the country, devoted his life to his people. Apart from his official duties he was deeply engaged in the pursuit of learning throughout his life as an advanced student of music and arts, language, literature, philosophy and the environment. It is acknowledged that his achievements are without parallel and probably unmatched amongst his peers. He left behind a rich legacy of knowledge in the form of his many works which include speeches on diverse subjects, Carnatic music compositions and publications on philosophy which exhibit deep understanding of the various aspects of life. The maharaja through his immeasurable contributuions, continued the rich legacy of the Wadiyars of Mysore and added to this wealth of the past.
We, in the Foundation have now embarked on a journey of exploring his multi-faced life and interests, and the contribution of our ancestors, and passing it on to the future generations for perpetuity.
During the birth centennial of the Maharaja, his daughters Maharajkumari Smt. Kamakshi Devi and Maharajkumari Smt. Indrakshi Devi and his grandchildren, have set up this responsibility and are glad to bring to life the foundation which will strive towards achieving these objectives. With this arduous task set out before us, the Maharaja Shri. Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Foundation has come into being.
Maharajkumari Kamakshi Devi: MaharajKumari is the 3rd daughter of Maharaja Shri.
Jayachamaraja Wadiyar and Maharani smt Tripurasundarammani avaru. She Studied in
Mysore at the Royal school and then then joined maharanis college Mysore for her
graduation. She Studied history English literature and political science in college . She is very fond of reading and travelling
Maharajkumari Indrakshi Devi: is the 4th daughter of Maharaja Shri. Jayachamaraja Wadiyar. She studied at the Royal school in Mysore and then completed her bachelor of Arts from Maharanis college of Mysore. She has done her intermediaries in Piano and higher local in music theory from the Trinity College of London. She moved to Bangalore after she got married to R. Raja Chandra Urs. She joined Raja Chandra in business as a joint director of Chiptech electronics pvt ltd where they manufactured Solar traffic lights and solar lights for homes.
Dr. Jayapalashri Anil : is the granddaughter of the Late Maharajaha Sri JayaChamaraja Wadiyar. Daughter of Late Maharajkumari Meenakshi Devi and Late Sirdar M.R.Lakshmikanth Raje Urs. She was born and brought up in Bangalore, did her schooling and higher studies in Bangalore. She chose to settle down in Bangalore and got married to an industrialist, and entrepreneur Anil Ashwath. She has been blessed with two sons. She started her journey into the business world by starting to manage finances and HR at her husband‘s industry. She made her way gradually to becoming a Director of M/s Ommi Forge. Pvt. Ltd and M/s Dhuvish Forge Pvt. Ltd. Her dream of expanding the industry made her set up her own industry which she runs with the help of her elder son. She is also the Sole Proprietor of M/s Metaform. Her passion into spirituality and to help people made her set up a Healing center which is called Samskara Healing. She has also authored a book named “Lessons I learnt being a Parent”. She has two books that is to be published soon. Today as she traverses her path of spirituality she has written many blogs and daily guidance which many people follow and look forward to read. She has been given an honorary doctorate degree and bestowed the title of The Spiritual Princess. Nevertheless her clients and students call her with plethora of monikers from an Earth Angel to Gurumatha. She realizes that these monikers come and go and all she looks at how can she be the one special drop in the ocean to make a difference. She takes out time to work with various NGO‘s and also is ready to help anyone who knocks on her door. Her students look upto her to seek, support and guidance learning the art of meditation. Now as she moves into the deeper paths of Spirituality to understand the depth of self- realization.
Rudrapratap Singh : Rudrapratap Singh is the grandson of the late Maharaja Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar and the son of Maharajkumari Vishalakshi Devi and Thakur Gajendra Singh of Auwa. As an interior, furniture and graphic designer, he has keen interest in upcycling and recycling old furniture. He believes sustainability in design. Rudrapratap is also a passionate horseman. Samabhava, an NGO that rescues and treats injured working ponies and horses works very closely with Rudrapratap. He has worked on many horses with psychological issues and helped them lead a normal life. The other great passion of Rudrapratap is wildlife. He has spent a lot of time in the forest and he helped his parents with the rehabilitation of 2 leopard cubs into the wild in association with the forest department. His parents also raised orphaned elephants calves for the forest department. He is a dog lover and has had dogs from the time he can remember. He had over 30 dogs at one point. He's grown up around dogs, cows, goats, geese, ducks, Guinea fowl, horses, rescued donkeys and a rescued camel.
